Who We Are
Autism Oxford UK is a limited company registered with company house. (Company number; 09271647). We are a blended team of professionals, both employed and subcontractors, providing, assessment, clinical, educational, and social support to autistic people and their support network, alongside our well-established training offer.
Information We Collect
When enquiry about an assessment or clinical, education and social support with us, we will need to collect and store data regarding this.
In running and maintaining our website, newsletters, forms and events we may collect and process the following data about you:
Information about your use of our newsletter and website including details of your visits such as pages viewed and the resources that you access. Such information includes traffic data, location data and other communication data.
Personal data provided voluntarily by you. For example, when you enquire and information that you provide when you communicate with us via the website or email, or register for news, fill in a survey or information for an event
The personal data you provide to us may include your name, the organisation you work for, your job role, your address, your email address, telephone number and the areas of our work that you have asked to receive information on. It sometimes might include your thoughts and comments about our work or topics of conversation.

If you are a visitor to our website, Autism Oxford UK will also process personal data using cookies. We use cookies on our website, to help in order for the website to run and to provide a more personalised service to you.

Use of Your Information
We may use the information that we collect from you to provide our services to you. In addition to this we may use the information for one or more of the following purposes:
- To assess and analyse non personal identifiable data, such as understanding the demographic of who use our services (age, race, religion etc)
- To provide news, guidance information to you that you request from us relating to our services.
- To provide information to you relating to other services, news and guidance that may be of interest to you. Such additional information will only be provided where you have consented to receive such information.
- To inform you of any changes to our website, services or events.
Helping with Health Research
When using your de-identified data to support health research, we aim to publish our research results in peer-reviewed journals or by working with academics. We may conduct research with partner organisations such as universities or other academic institutions.
We may also use data that does not identify you personally as part of statistics that we collect on certain types of illness, symptoms, and conditions. This might include us contributing medical data to our partners and organisations such as NHS England. They will always be anonymised, which means you cannot be personally identified. This is so we can improve our medical knowledge, help deliver better care and help the general public.
Storing Your Personal Data
We do our utmost to ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to make sure that your data is treated and stored securely.
Unfortunately, the sending of information via the internet is not totally secure and on occasion such information can be intercepted. We cannot guarantee the security of data that you choose to send us electronically. Sending such information is entirely at your own risk.

In relation to our assessment, clinical, education and social support we store personal Data securely virtually, as we are aiming to be a completely paperless service. However, some data in association with assessments, will need to be stored as hardcopy, which will be stored in accordance with The UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
We update and review our records on a monthly basis to ensure that it remains accurate. We only keep your data for the purposes for which it is being processed. If you withdraw consent your data will be permanently deleted from our records.
Sharing Your Information
We will not disclose your personal information to any other party other than in accordance with this Privacy Policy and in the circumstances detailed below:
- In the event that we sell any or all of our business to the buyer.
- Where we are legally required by law to disclose your personal information, for example a safeguarding or child protection order.
- We will only share your personal data with organisations involved with your care (for example your GP or NHS Trust)
- To further fraud protection and reduce the risk of fraud.
Your Rights and Access to Information
In accordance with the new GDPR legislation you have the right to access any information that we hold relating to you. You also have the right to withdraw your consent, unsubscribe from our news or ask to have your data removed from our records.
