Autism Profiling Assessment

If you already have a diagnosis of autism but you would like to better understand your autistic profile, then this is the assessment for you. We will assess for PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) or a female presentation and provide recommendations around this in a report.

PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance):

In sharing the teams collective experience and expertise, their aim is to support identifying and assessing a PDA profile. The team will explore the distinguishing PDA characteristics from other presentations of marked demand avoidance.

Female Presentation:

The team have worked with many people that would describe themselves as the ‘ultimate maskers’. Camouflaging however covers three main areas; compensation, assimilation and masking- all of which are great strategies to learn to manage in a neurotypical world, but also can cause autistic burnout and loss of self-identity.

It is important that a female presentation is identified and understood, so alternative strategies and support can be explored and also needs to be identified early and reduce the risk of diagnostic overshadowing.

*This is only available to those who already have a diagnosis of autism.
